However at such an early stage in their careers at Heavyweight as potential prospects I am sure both their promoters will want to keep this match marked for the future when they are both better established...as long of course as they can establish themselves.
Solis was lucky that he got the standing 8 in the amateurs as well cos if it had been a pro match Haye would have followed up and finished him.
And Solis hardly "Kicked his ass" as you put it...with that kind of remark I suggest you go and actually watch the fight which can be found on Youtube.
Haye is a completely different article to that green kid back then as well.
Also I don't doubt that Bonin is anything but a protected fighter but you can use him as a bit of a measuring stick with regards to his fight with Fraudley who had a better amateur career than Haye and has fought better Hw's than Haye albeit mostly mediocre.
You see fraudley took 9 rounds to dispatch of Bonin and even then it was a dubious stoppage whereas Haye destroyed Bonin like a true Prospect should within a round and never even broke sweat!
Anyway time will obviously tell with David Haye once he starts fighting up at Heavy but from what I have seen in my own personal opinion he has definitely got the tools to go all the way.
And even if he falls at least we know the guy will undoubtedly be in exciting fights rather than Dull hugfests with lumbering oafs.
ive seen the fight on youtube between solis and haye, i would say both fighters have changed quite a bit. solis himself came out like a madman and got himself caught with that shot by being careless. if they fought at heavy i think haye would win at this point, but its still a fight he should be calling out. solis is too damn slow at his weight, id like to believe against haye he would make the effort to cut the extra pounds and give himself a better shot.

solis may take the fight too, though he hasnt many fights, he and his promoters have shown the willingness to put him in with tough comp from the get go. plus with his disregard for weight maybe he doesent care so much for boxing and would be happy to take the money hed get for a haye showdown.

also, for the record, solis would be a tougher opponent than hasim rahman. rahman is completely washed and id be surprised if haye doesent just walk right through him. of course if its a title eliminator, haye would be dumb not to fight hasim, it doesent get any easier than that.

        he would I'd say.

        Definetely.

        Won't happen though.

Everyone would expect him to lose anyway, and he would get paid quite well for it. They could put that on at the O2 with a good undercard,.

As its been said already, Haye has already fought and destroyed a decent Heavyweight in the form Tomasz Bonin. Bonin had 37 wins and 20 Ko's and only 1 loss going into the fight and Haye wiped him out with two or three knock downs in round 1.
Bonin weighed in at 231lbs for the fight so he was a big guy, in fact he outweighed Haye by 14lbs!
Harrison took 9 rounds to stop the same guy.

            I want to see Haye-Peter.
That would be a great test for Haye and an insight as well.

I want to see that too. Only because I believe that is the guy Haye beats more than likely. He'd also look incredible against Peter. Who while an exciting fighter...actually isn't that good.

Someone like Mike Mollo, DaVarryl Williamson, Owen Beck, Guillermo Jones, even a ****y Ryan, Rob Calloway, or Michael Moorer.

Just someone that fight fans have half heard of, that seems like a legit "first heavy" fight where he can be showcased rather than face a guy who might be able to kill the hype machine before it starts.

I would love to see him in there with James Toney! Toney has NEVER been stopped!

Thats if Toney can stop testing positive for Steroids!
