Samuel Peter Vs. Vitali Klitschko. Who wins? (Now with poll)

Sam Peters next fight is mandatory against former titleholder Vitali Klitschko. Its 4 years since the older Klitschkos last fight. Due to several major injuries he's been inactive, but is now ready for a comeback.

peter beats vitali at this point in time...

if peter fights wlad i say wlad but the fight should be entertaining at least...

Vitali beats him. Even with the layoff, I think Vitali has enough power to knock Peter out, Maskaev managed to stun him in the third and I think Vitali would finish the job when he gets Peter hurt.

Vitali TKO 10. He has all of the advantages over Peter and then some. He would take advantage of the Peter's slow hands and slow plotting jab by countering with jabs of his own. He would pick his spots from a distance and tie Peter up easily as he gets on the inside, as he is the much bigger man. Maskaev and MCcline was able to hurt Peter with slow right hands and uppercuts and Vitali is one of the most accurate punchers in the recent heavyweight era and has a full arsenal. Once Peter gases out in the middle rounds, i see Vitali placing his punches together and getting a stoppage. I don't think the lay off would do too much harm. When he was scheduled to fight Jameel MCcline, he said that he was at 100% but his doctor told him that he needed rest.

It would look similar to Wladimir Klitschko/Peter 1, only with Vitali not being knocked down and in complete control because he is far tougher and has a way better chin than his brother. Matter of fact, Wladimir would give Peter a beating. Peter needs to get in better shape before he loses his title quick. He did a good job but i wasn't too impressed with his performance.

If he could get fully fit I really couldn't see Vitali losing this. Peter is awful and Klitschko would have such physical advantages and hopefully the toughness to go with it. The ease with which Maskaev landed and the way McCline hurt him I'd fully expect him to lose by KO.

The big issue would also be ring-rust.

One can only hope that the height of Vitali prevents Peters rabbit-punching from having an effect.

Oh man I cant wait to see 'Dirty Peter' on the mat.

I say Vitali can still win, but obviously the risk for Vitali is much greater will all that inactivity. I really hope this fight doesnt happen and I dont think it will. It would be bad for boxing. Wladimir v. Peter II needs to happen.

It will happen. Vitali was part of the broadcasting on german TV saying before the fight that this bout was of special interest to him because he was going to fight the winner.

I'll get back on the subject later to post what he had to say. I just need a second rerun of the transmission.

****. Dont wanna see it. And it is does happen, I hope Vitali loses. I thought the whole point was to unify the belts. If Vitali wins, this might hold back unification back years because him and Wladimir will never fight.
