HBO B.A.D. on 3/22... What the **** are they thinking?

Obviously a lightweight title fight is going to be pretty meaningful, so I am okay with Casamayor vs. Katsidis being the main event (even though there is another fight that night that definately could pass as the main event).

I am NOT okay with the selection for the undercard fight. They are going to show Librado Andrade (the guy who should have brain damage from how many ridiculously clean, hard shots got through to his head from Mikkel Kessler) fighting some guy named Robert Stieglitz. Fair enough... each guy has one loss, whatever. It might be a good fight, and it would be okay, but...

There is another fight that night that is going to be ****ing sweet, and meaningful, with a guy who is a hell of a lot better than both Andrade and Stieglitz against an undefeated fighter who has a great bloodline to go with his undefeated record.

They are seriously showing Andrade vs. Stieglitz instead of JUNIOR WITTER VS. DEMETRIUS HOPKINS!!!

What the **** are they ****ING thinking?!?

I am shocked and pretty pissed off about this to be honest.

the Witter-Hopkins fight isn't happening contrary to what Boxrec might say.

I was thinking the exact same thing, they're willing to show Andrade vs Stieglitz but turned down Junior Witter and his list opponents.

As has been mentioned in this thread Hopkins didn;t want the Witter fight. He has all kinds of personal turmoil right now.

Yeah but Witter's camp also came up with a decent list of opposition for Witter to fight, HBO turned them all down.

Who would wanna see witter fight anyways? The last time I saw him fight was against zab and after that I stopped watching him. He's bad for boxing.

He took that fight on a week's notice. And since then, he has become an excellent fighter, compared to the slightly above-average fighter he was back then.

Seriously, he is an animal now. He blew Vivian Harris out of the water in his last fight, and Harris was a guy a few years back that they thought was going to do some business at 140.
