Well I'm bout to go to church... I'll eb back to see this post again..

    This conversation is intrigues me..

I like Haye... If he could make a serious threat to the heavyweights it would be very motivation and exciting...

BUT i just don't believe it will happen unless a few .. and i mean like 5-7, of the Big boys just up and retire...

And thats even talking about Shannon Briggs.

Bonin although not a great fighter, was a durable heavyweight and had taken massive shots in the past. Haye tore him apart. IF he feels his way into the weight and weighs around 225lb retaining his speed. He can clean up the division.

Definately the hardest p4p puncher in boxing today.

Please tell me you are joking?

            Evander hit harder?

            Easily P4P hardest puncher.

Well he would have the joint longest reach of the elite at HW, he will also be faster and hit harder so im not sure what tools hes lacking.

If Haye fought any heavy with a solid right his left would not drop he aint silly hes had over 100 Amature fights.

Will his next fight be in America?

I think this guy can beat anyone at HW...........
His appeal as a handsome Boxer athlete will have virtually no impact on the already existing fanbase as a Brit. Haye could bring some women into the fold a la De La Hoya on the flipside, if he's promoted correctly. He does that and the guys/"people" will start to pay attention and bring the thing full circle. It may sound weird but dudes are gay..

I think America defiantely wants to see Daid Haye. And aside from all the gay comments about him, the dude DOES have the looks of "a matinee idol" in the words of Larry Merchant, he was a model before he seriously started boxing.

Even though he's british, he'll definately have crossover appeal in America, ESPECIALLY if he can provide dominant performances at Heavyweight like he did against Bonin and Macca.

See, this is where I get a little confused...what tools? As far as I can tell all that anyone has in the HW division is power and weight/height. I see very few top heavyweights with good skills (Chagaev and Wlad being the exceptions), and many in that division seem to have awfully glass chins and not especially great conditioning. I'd give Haye a punchers chance against everyone and more than that against all but the top 5 maybe. With that said, he's got a lot to prove about his own chin and conditioning. Really, he's made for the heavyweight division, he'll slot right in, but for the fact that he has more potential and more marketability than almost anyone in there.

                      I second that.

He's got all the tools to be a major star at heavyweight. HBO needs to get his next fight on their network.
