What do you think? Hes 39 and looked somewhat old tonight. Hes got power but whats left for him really, who could he fight?

He's not dead-shot, and the division is weak. Will come down to money. It always does, doesn't it?

He's definitely shot, he fought like an old man tonight. He perhaps should fight Holyfield or Mercer in some exhibitions in Russia, and then retire.

He's 39, addled by injuries, and has burned bridges with the WBC. If it was up to me, I'd say he should retire. This was his sixth loss by knockout and you don't want to see a fighter take too many of those.

I can't imagine him making another run at the title with the mileage on his body. I'd say yes, go ahead and hang them up. I'm sure he would've preferred to make a bigger payday with Vitali Klitschko and then retire.

I can see Maskaev winning another belt, so I say, NO!

I will like to see Wlad fight Makaev next and Peter will fight Vitali, the winners should fight each other.

As for Chagaev, I think he should fight Valuev next, cause the first fight was really close.

Maskaev will never win another belt. He's a shot old fighter - there's a hundred heavyweights who would defeat him right now.

Maskaev is far from his prime now. I even think a prime Maskaev would have beat Peter tonight but yes he should retire.

I have no doubt in my mind that the maskeav that knocked rahman out of the ring in there first fight would have starched peter. he hurt peter and was competitive for 6 rounds and he was much quicker and more accurate back then

Maskaev has too many loses by KO to fight any longer, it’s just not worth risking permanent damage. In any case, he has had a good career and there is no shame in hanging them up.
