When a clip of the fight is on youtube or on hbo on demand I'll rewatch it just in case, but I remember what I saw. I thought campbell clearly won the fight and even won the early rounds, but I thought he got hit too and wasn't very slick, I'll rewatch it to see if I'm wrong.
Diaz tried to hit Campbell upstairs, but he couldn't connect flush, and he started to drop down to the body. He was only catching elbows, and Campbell was the only one landing effective body and headshots.

I dont know how much you know about boxing. It could be the case that as an experienced observer, a punch that I can tell Campbell rolled with, looks to you like his head getting snapped.

I thought Diaz had quit on his stool personally.

I can see that, but I thought he was way more effective at it after the first few rounds because i thought he got nailed with some rights and some uppercuts, but I'll rewatch more carefully.

I thought maybe the Diaz corner was trying to buy some extra time with that cut, plus I don't know how experienced that cutman in Diaz's corner was.

So did I. From what I heard in the corner, Diaz corner tried to have the fight stopped about 3 rounds in a row, but they kept saying the doctor has to stop it or something.

Diaz didn't want any more, but he wasn't willing to swallow his pride and outright quit.

He fought just like Toney, right down to the James Toney up jab from the hip.

I'm sorry to say but Juan Diaz looks like his tank is out of gas as a fighter. The same story as Ricky Hatton, who ran into Luis Collazo and was never the same. Diaz can't fight any other style and he's been taking alot of punishment in his short career. I think he's out of gas personally.

Skills, Mgkirkpatrick, and whoever else is in my sig, gimme my points!

I also saw this fight as a bad matchup for Diaz in terms of style of fighting... i also saw Diaz fight a few times before this and I wasnt entirely impressed. I had Campbell in UD but somehow it was a SD? PFFF... anyway

Big props to Nate on this win!
