UK Refs: Worst In the World?

Agreed. The worst ref tonight was in the Diaz vs. Cambell fight in Mexico anyways. But maybe the worst one I remember was in Vegas. Tyson vs. Lewis was as obvious of a bought off ref as I have ever seen. Richard Steel I think.

he was bad, no doubt. Let Campbell get away with a little too much **** plus the other crap he pulled, taking Diaz to the cut man, letting every round start like 15 seconds into it while waiting on Diaz' corner.

Enzo went down and the ref allowed Haye to continue hitting him. Thats the point I think.

Ah, right. Then it's a decent point. Split-second oversight, though, and certainly not the harmatia of UK referees alone. Don't think it had much bearing on the outcome of the fight, ultimately, but yeah.

In regards the first issue, then i was so excited by that fight (pretty tense, wasn't it?) that I didn't really notice it.

On the second issue, that's a JOKE, right?

hell yes thats a joke about audley not getting a count, i cant resist taking a shot at him whenever i get a chance.

it wouldve been hilarious for the ref to have given him a count until he came to his senses, he probably wouldve gotten to 250 or so

Well then you're keeping a higher/different standard for me than you've kept for yourself/others.. Let's just say that much as far as that.

Since you asked though, I just quit smoking (cigarettes and herb simultaneously) 5 days ago and it's not going well.. Of course that isn't any sort of excuse/cause for my outbursts..

Really though I don't see much point in participating in any sort of anything if it means there's going to be added policing/regulating of behavior..

As you know I'm a genuine fan of your "anorak" fella though he can be a bit testy himself at times.. I've always believed the real life versions of us would have been pretty tight with the proper factoring..

However, the worlds ending and the aliens will be here soon anyway, so might as well **** everything off while there's still time..

Addison, I think you're reading WAY too much into what I said in black and white text.

There was no "policing", and no implicit threat or ANYTHING. I wasn't saying "you have to stop or you're not in my gang" or any of that ****** ****.

All I was doing was pointing out that Mik posts in there too (you might not know as the **** seldom does) and that it might be embarrassing when you're both in there together. Kind of like turning up to a party with a date and seeing an ex girlfriend.

I can’t generalize an entire region like that. Everyone has individual abilities and shortcomings. There are good referees as well as bad ones from everywhere.
