    most big punchers lean forward

just something i have noticed, macca, haye, juarez, torres, pavlik, miranda .. there are some that don't, but most do .. also when your trainer usually tells you NOT to lean forward as a basic for amateur boxing, what do you think about this?

    Balance, son, balance.

And most of the fighters you mentioned got long arms so when they throw a punch they got to lean forward a little.

            They're definately cheating.

In Haye's case he really knows how to work his lean. Lots of braggadocio.

The more you move your body into the punch the more power you have. Easy as it is. Disadvantages are balance and being countered especially if you miss.

i know how u feel brother. to get the most out of your power you have to come in the forward motion. my old trainer always taught me that, and he loved punchers. unfourtanetly his gym was shut down and he left. i went to another gym and this trainer started teaching me this ****ing amateur style. hit and move back, keep your body straight, technique and the whole ****. i didnt feel comfortable fighting this style and i tried to ignore him, and he got pissed when i didnt listen to him. i got disgusted and basically walked out of the gym and never came back. now im just training myself, i wasnt going to let a trainer like that teach the basic **** he watched on the video to become a qualified trainer. which he really wasnt.

That's why timing plays such a major role. If you can time it right you can won't end up countered.
