    I watched Pavlik-Taylor II again...

and Pavlik is not even a fraction as powerful as most of the posters on here make him out to be.

He hits hard. He can wear people down with his attack because it is frequent, consistent and hard.

He is not going to be putting many elites to sleep with one punch though. The Zertuche KO was a one-time thing on a guy who never was and never will be elite.

It was ONE fight that he gets a decision over the MW King, who he KO'd before that, and you say he has no power.

Edit: Also, you're saying he hits hard, he wears you down he's consistent, frequent and then you say he doesn't hit hard?

          kelly pavlik: i lost rounds 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 consecutively

kelly does hit hard though....and his power isnt exclusive to wear you down, he can mix in 1 punch ko bombs...

I don't think anyone has mistaken Pavlik for a one punch knockout artist except his biggest fans.

Pavlik hits hard, he has punching power and he can put a man down with a clean hit. But he is not going to be putting people to sleep with one punch.

Even that Zertuche KO was from an accumulation of punishment, Zertuche was hit with many right hands.

This does not mean he is not a hard hitter, Hagler wasn't a one punch KO artist either but people feared his power.

Pavlik brings pain and not too many boxers are willing to take it these days.

So since Taylor fought not to win but to go the distance just like Forrest did against Mayorga in their rematch, and mind you both of them felt pretty good about not getting koed again. Now Pavlik is not a powerful puncher?

How many powerful punchers knock out elite fighters with one punch?

He is a powerful guy. But he is not a huge one power KO artist. He is rentless and throws and throws. If you keep getting hit your gonna get hurt and worn down. It is the accumultion of punches that makes Pavlik seem more power than he is.
