Cotto would box his ass and wouldn't be lured into a war.
Cotto has too much skill for Mayorga.
    Miguel by unanimous decision.

I cant see Cotto beating Mayorga at 147. Mayorga hits too hard and Cotto is easy to hit. also, Cotto's punches would feel like pitty pat to Mayorga as he has been in there with much harder punchers. I mean Cotto could probably win if he fought the way he fought against Mosley for the last two rounds, but i think its a bad match up for him. Im a Cotto fan, but I dont think he matches up good against guys with one punch KO power, such as even a Kermit Cintron, because he gets hit way too easy as of now.

I agree with Raysan, you guys forget that Cotto got wrecked by Torres and Corley and even Zab stunned him. I kno it was at 140 but 7 pounds aint that big a difference and Cotto was prolly way over 140 wen fight night came. Cotto SHOULD win that fight but Mayorga is still very strong.

Trinidad punches harder then Cotto but he couldnt finish him early and De La Hoya, the only man to truely wipe out Mayorga, got rid of him in six but it was a ref stoppage and while mayorga did take a beating he didnt even look hurt.

Lol are you sure you're a Cotto fan? Have you even seen his last 3-4 fights? Cotto is not easy to hit, the only times he was easy to hit was against Torres and Malinaggi. Torres exploited the fact that Cotto thought he could finish him early and that was a smart move, Malinaggi used his elusive style and speed. Mayorga doesn't have speed, nor any real boxing skills really and Cotto's style has much matured after the Torres fight. You've seen the Mosley fight...

Which bigger punchers has Mayorga faced? I wouldn't call DLH a bigger puncher, Trinidad might have an edge and Vargas was nowhere near his prime when he fought him. I think Cotto could KO Mayorga within 8 rounds, if this fight is to ever materialize be sure to PM me, I'll bet all my points.

Nothing personal, but your reasoning is insane. Torres is the biggest puncher at 140 right now, Corley was able to pressure Mayweather perhaps even more than DLH did and how much bigger is DLH? The fact that Trinidad didn't finish him early had more to do with Mayorga's antics than Trinidad's power. Mayorga was out on his feet against DLH, watch the sixth round again, he's just pummeling him like a rag doll, if Mayorga wasn't hurt then I'd like to know your definition of being hurt.

Personally I'd pay to see Mayorga against anyone.

Cotto, Mayweather or just a crackhead on the street who looked at him wrong.

He is an A-class ****head, but fascinating.

Ya because Zab didnt have him on the verge of being knocked out right before some lows right? Oscar, Trinidad, and Vargas are all harder punchers than Cotto and by far, even past his prime a Vargas punch at 170 is harder than a Miguel shot at welter. Mayorga has been taking hits from guys at higher weights, so of course they are going to be harder.

Miguel doesnt have one punch knockout power as some would like to believe. He breaks you down, and to do that he would have to stand in front of Mayorga, who at 147 had amazing power.

Just because i think someone would lose, doesnt make me a fan of theirs? Ive been watching Miguel for years, and if you dont see there are flaws in his game, then something is wrong with you. Im just saying Miguel shouldnt be in there with guys who have one punch knockout power as of yet, hes still young and improving every fight.

I love the guy, he makes every fight an event and I would pay to see him fight Cotto or like others have said, pretty much anyone. How cool would it be if Mayo drops Cotto and becomes 147 champ again....Floyd would come running out of "retirement" and want to fight him, then say that the reason he didnt want to fight Cotto was because of his suspect chin???!?!? lol.
