He never fought at cruiser, he went straight from light-heavy to heavy

its kinda sad that this division isn't more well known. Other than heavyweight, its the only division where every fighter has a punchers chance of winning. Virtually everyone has one punch power plus they are faster and have a higher workrate than the heavyweights. If I had to pick between watching top 2 heavyweights or top 2 cruiserweights, I wouldn't hesitate and watch the top 2 cruisers. If haye and bell were fighting at the same time as wlad-ibragimov, I would watch haye and bell for sure and find out what happened in the hw fight or download it later.

If there ever was a time for the cruisers to shine, it is now. but the only problem is, the media has to participate. the haye-mormeck fight was barely promoted. I don't know if anyone knew or even cared about it. If HBO would put their hype machine behind 2 cruisers with a countdown or 24/7 show, the cruiserweight division would come to life IMO.

Holyfield and De Leon definitely are the top 2, the rest are debatable.

Holyfield is first by a mile. I'd probably put Juan Carlos Gomez second. He was obscure, but he dominated his opposition.

Juan Carlos Gomez cruiserweight record 31(27 ko's)-0. I don't know too much about alot of his opponents cuz the media never hyped them up but, he was the WBC champ and had 10 defences of that belt so I would assume that he fought some pretty good cruisers and that is enough to make him the clear out #2 cruiser of all-time. But of course, thats just on paper, I haven't seen any of his cruiserweight fights.

I would have holyfield 1 and de leon 2, outside of that i would have JCG in there, O'neil Bell because he was the first undisputed champ since holyfield, Qawi and mormeck and the winner of tonights fight. Its difficult to rank the ones outside of the 2 top names.

Hmmm, is everyone so sure that Holyfield was the best ever there? I guess because of his success at heavy as well, that made him more successful but I think there may have been better fighters at cruiserweight. Well, maybe not better, but fighters that were there longer, had more defenses and a longer run.

                    Like Carlos De Leon!

didnt archie moore fight at cruiser? he should be top ten if he did. Like everyone else has said i think evander is the only big time celeb to come out of the division and thats only cos he went heavyweight and did good. Haye will be top 3 of all time by 11pm tonight
