Jose Luis Castillo fails to make weight

He just weighed in at 143 and said he can't lose any more due to stomach pain.

He needs to call it quits. He would get eaten alive at 147 at this point.

It's easy for you guys to call on JLC to retire but he's had financial problems and boxing is all he knows....

            Agreed.

He should just pick a weight class where he can actually make the weight.

He should fight at 147 or 154, His still a known name and alot of up and coming fighters need someone like him on their resume.

It worries me though because he looked SO terrible against Hatton. Literally, that was one of the worst deteriorations I have ever seen in a fighter. If you want a definition of shot, watch Mayweather-Castillo I and then Hatton-Castillo, and see the difference.

I think he is too small for 147 also.

I feel bad for him, but I don't know what he can do in boxing that will be successful for him.

Diego Corrales's widow is a money greedy ****, considering they went through with the lawsuit, even after Corrales failed to make weight for Casamayor III. Hypocritical ****.

I know about his financial problems but he can't make weight anymore. What's he gonna do, move up to 147? I just can't imagine how he would fair against the elite up there. I can only think if Hatton put him away in 4 what Cotto, Cintron or Margarito would do to him. He's got to find an alternative. I truly do feel bad for the guy but it's really not in his best interest to keep doing this.

I feel somewhat sorry for him aswell, but he has nobody to blame but besides himself. This is what? the 3rd time that he has failed to make weight? If he was in such financial trouble, he should've made it his buisness to make sure he trained properly in order to make the weight.
