I have noticed though that the more times a lineal championship changes hands, the less credible the champion seems to be.
Mosley beats Oscar. Considered the best in the sport.

Mayorga beats Forrest. Some people consider it a fluke, others detract from Mayorga's lack of technical skill.
Spinks beats Mayorga. Claims of a bad decision.
Judah beats Spinks. After going 1-1 in the series with no rubber to decide it.
Baldomir beats Judah. F-L-U-K-E.
