Has Team Calzaghe Been All Good For Maccarinelli?

Help me out here.. Before Team Calzaghe got their hands on Maccarinelli he was more of straight ahead ****er, with a lead hook or lead straight as his only special effect, yes? Now he's alot more cute, yes?

Is this all good? Do you see any potential problems?

Depends on how well he got the new tricks down.

There could be slight problems with coordination, but I think he is talented enough.

Good point, I don't know if everything I've been seeing looks totally natural to me. I could be wrong though. I'm not extremely versed on the subject just yet.

There's nothing wrong with straight ahead operators in this game. It seems to suit Kelly Pavlik just fine.. I just hope all this moving doesn't/hasn't expose him on defense, and take away his natural timing on offense..

Anyone taking Haye at 2/1? I'll take Mac.

Anyone who trains with Enzo Calzaghe and his son Joe are bound to become better boxers in every way possible

Enzo seems a bit too basic with a jab then an occasional body shot. Haye has more slick moves. Although speed is about even.

Interesting take.. I agree that the Calzaghe's are first rate Boxing men, but I'm wondering if the stylistics involved are a 90% or better, cohesive fit.

Macca has improved hugely since he started working with Enzo Calzaghe, in fact he is still improving at the moment. Alot of people see him as a one dimensional ****er, but over his last few fights he has used his boxing ability much more. He is picking his shots much better now and also showing good patience. I just don't think it is going to be enough againt Haye. Still I definatly won't be suprised if Enzo pulls the upset.

Haye seems quite a bit more natural with the slickness, indeed.

Although when it all comes down to bottomline, the one who hits his money punch first may as well win the fight.

                    Both fighters have questionable chins.

Although I go with Haye. But not by much. If Haye wins then he should try and clean up the HW division.
