Toney bent down so low it looked like he was snorting coke off the ring floor!
Punching to the back of the head is illegal..yes. But so is bending at the waist below the opponents waist and turning your head (or back) to the opponent.
I say.. if the guy does, Punch the him right in the brain stem! He deserves it!

    You can't be anymore wrong.
If you're low you're supposed to get him by an uppercut not a rabbit punch you fool.
Samuel Peter is too limited of a fighter, he throws rabbit punches when he's supposed to throw uppercuts.

Not surprisingly, Sam Peter used his illegal rabbit punching very effectively tonight.

The referee really did nothing to stop Peter from doing it, except to give him two warnings.

There's a good reason rabbit punches are illegal. Joe Mesi's brain injury was from a rabbit punch. Max Baer once killed a man in the ring, with a blow to the back of the head.

I'm a bit worried for old Oleg Maskaev, now in his 40th year. I have a feeling Peter will again resort to using rabbit punches, and Oleg may suffer a permanent brain injury as a result.
Peter is like a caveman he literally is not a boxer he just goes in and wings shots like a toughman competition. He does what is necessary to win.

i hope everyone reads my post very carefully.

peter punches to the back of the head intentionally. i have seen him actually measure up the back of his opponents head on FNF. you, if watching closely, can actually see/read his intention in many cases.

I'm not going to bet against Peter in a fight unless they have a real strict referee in there. Then I'll pick just about any underdog to beat him by DQ.

Peter is a really rough, dirty fighter and he doesn't even try to cover it up, kind of like Golota who got away with a lot of stuff early in his career.
If the referees start penalizing him for it, he is going to lose by DQ like Golota did.

Very entertaining though but he needs to stop all the rabbit punching.

i'm glad to see people finding it sickening that peter uses these punches and referees don't do **** about it.

why is there a rule like this that doesn't get enforced? the refs surely know that a single rabbit punch can end up giving a person brain damage, right?

even the hbo guys, who hype peter dedicate time to talking about his rabbit punches. it is funny to see some of them try to justify the fact that peter is known for throwing rabbit punches.

if it is the way an opponent moves his head, then why isn't this a problem for more boxers? because that theory is bull****.

and if it's my fighter in there, i am going to protect my fighter and punch the ref in the back of the ****ing head.

I hope Rappaport and Maskaev do some serious protesting about Peter's dirty tactics in this fight.
