Haye: After Macca, I'll Knock Klitschko Out!

"American boxing fans love the knockout. They love you to bring the pain and give them entertainment," says WBC/WBA cruiserweight champion David Haye. Both Haye and WBO cruiserweight champ Enzo Maccarinelli are vowing to go all out for the KO in their much anticipated unification clash in London on Saturday night, televised live by SHOWTIME.

As far as Haye is concerned, he's the division's only real champion. "(Maccarinelli) won a vacant title. He's never been beaten a world champion, I've beaten the world champion, Jean-Marc Mormeck. I went to his backyard and I beat the world champion. This is Maccarinelli's opportunity to fight a champion," he said. Same for IBF champ Steve Cunningham. "Who has he beaten?" asks Haye. "He has a vacant title. There's no history behind him. The reason he got the title is because O'Neil Bell gave the title up, and then Cunningham took the belt."

Haye says after this fight Maccarinelli and Cunningham can fight for more vacant belts because he is 100% moving to heavyweight after this fight. "I am a heavyweight who fights at cruiserweight."

He hopes to fight in Las Vegas and get the backing of the American public against the Eastern Bloc fighters who currently dominate the heavyweight division. "I think for some reason, the American heavyweight situation isn't what it should be. It hasn't been for many, many years, and I think I'm the closest you Americans have got. At least I'm an English speaking heavyweight champion of the world. That means something.

"You've got all these Russian pretenders. These guys ain't got no rhythm, no timing, no speed. They're big and clumsy. Look at (Wladimir) Klitschko the other night. It was an embarrassment to boxing what he did. He should be stripped of his title just for that performance alone. It was a disgrace. And I can't wait to go up and knock that bum out. I'm going to do to him (Klitschko) what Corrie Sanders did to him with that speed and make him run like a b*tch. I'm going to go out there and knock him out. He's my No. 1 target at the moment. People regard Klitschko as the No. 1 fighter in the world. So after this fight, that's what I'm going after. He can try to hide as much as he wants, but I'm going to track him down and take him out!"
Taken from *********. Haye is overrating himself a bit I think. Thoughts?

This dude would get dusted by Wlad. I mean the guy has one ****ty fight (in whic he still dominated) and this moron who's already been KTFO by a relatively weak puncher gonna starch Wlad.

I actually think Enzo's gonna get the W come Saturday anyway

fool stop saying he got ktfo.... he wasn't knocked out you moron. Watch the fight

I'm a haye fan and even i think this is slightly extreme. However I do think he poses a legitimate threat given a year or so. He is right about sanders, speed, accuracy and power did for wlad. Haye has all of those attributes. Obviously he needs testing fully at heavyweight before such a fight happens

Oh dear. I guess he's only seen him in action once and that was probably against Sultan Ibragimov.

Haye needs to chill and focus on his upcoming fight.

I like haye, but i dont think he can beat Wlad. I'm skeptical about Haye chin.

His chin is a question but I think it's because he has to drain himself to make 200 pounds.
