Who Can Beat Miguel Cotto?

Lol at Addison picking everyone on the list.

Addison would pick Larry Merchant to beat Cotto if he was on that list. All those guys are top guys with loads of talent and they all have a chance at beating Cotto however there are 2 guys that I would be really nervous for Cotto against.

1) Margarito: He just might be the ying to Cotto's yang and could possibly have his number. He is very physically strong and takes a punch very well. He also throws a nice uppercut which Cotto is susceptible too.

2) Mayweather: Well because he is Mayweather and is a complete fighter with excellent ring IQ and adaptability. His speed, conditioning, defense, chin and skills would definitely push Cotto's ability and it would be a good fight.

I see Cotto catching up and beating the others, Cotto would start the first round against PW's the way Margarito started the 8th against PW's and not let up. If Margarito had the hand speed and footwork to get inside on PW's then Cotto definitely has the ability.

Addy.........do you really think Joshua Clottey could beat Miguel Cotto?

I'm just wondering how you see that fight.

I could see Clottey doing some good work with his power shots. Particularly the lead uppercut, lead left hook, and lead straight right hand. I think he could bust Cotto up something nasty..

However, Cotto would be tearing up Clottey's midsection with that high guard Clottey's always using - which I think would force the fight, and cause Clottey to go for broke.

I sincerely believe Cotto would be in for heartache and headache.

at 147 i think floyd mayweather is the only fighter who could beat miguel cotto.

i dont think oscar could beat miguel cotto at 147...he stands a chance at 154...but not at 147...oscar's fatiuge would REALLY show if the fight occured at 147 and unless oscar caught him with a good counter left hook that knocked him out cold i dont see him winning...and the left hook at puts cotto out cold isnt something i see either...but oscar wouldnt win on points...

for the rest of the fighters i will give simple/quick explainations:

Shane Mosley - too much out of his prime; decent fight; close fight; but cotto wins.

Paul Williams - Quintana exploited his flaws and i believe cotto would capitalize.

Margarito - decent fight...close at times but cotto wins roughly 8 rounds to 4.

Zab Judah - dont order that fight...just watch a replay of the first fight.

Kermit Cintron - good fighter. needs to put in more work before even thinking of taking on cotto. with more work put in he makes it a competitive fight...at this point right now i say he loses UD or gets Ko'd late in the fight

I think Mayweather would beat Cotto and DLH could, but probably wouldn't beat Cotto and Zab Judah has the tools to beat Cotto but will probably never get to a point where he can beat Cotto.

So I guess I think those 3 can beat Cotto?

Cintron cant fight inside & his power is on the end of his punches & has been broken up before with body punches & preasure by Margarito ,Cotto would close the range & hammer his boy

Feliciano got in Cintrons face & gave him nightmares & he is nothing short of a bum ,Cintron gets a punchers chance cause Cotto does'nt have a grannit chin ,still a very slim hope IMO though
