if he fought cotto instead of odl he would lose at least 10mil right of the bat, even if he won. if he lost to cotto, which would be more likely than against odl, he would lose at least 50 mil in future earnings. hence the name, money may. mayweather is scared because he knows deep down that cotto has the skills and power to beat him. mayweathers real fear is losing his zero. just like when margarito offered him a career high payday and he turned that down like the coward he is.

I personally don't think that Mayweather is afraid to fight Cotto. I just see him looking for the fight with the biggest paycheck. Why else would he be fighting DLH again? Im fine with the man making as much money as possible, at the same time though I wish he would fight one of the top WW's because right now that's what his critics got on him. I agree that Floyd would probably beat all the top WW's, but I just wish he would fight one of those guys mainly Cotto to further expand his legacy and leave the critics little to have on him.
