Definitely not at this time in his career. MAYBE before the first Corrales fight.
Could Jose Luis Castillo survive as a welterweight?

good point I wonder why his team doesnt go fishing in the welters, seems to be a lot of money to be made up there. You guys know Castillo did fight at WW, right? He had three fights at WW right after losing to PBF the second time before he dropped back down to 135 to fight Lazcano on the DLH - Sturm undercard. That's why Lazcano was such a favorite, because nobody thought Castillo would be able to make the weight and, if he did, that he'd bee too slow and tired in the second half.Comment

Sure, why not. I mean on paper he doesn't have a good shot at beating the top 4 WW's. But fights don't take place on paper, we all know that. We've all seen bigger upsets.Comment

I hope for his sake he's able to make 140 by Saturday. C'mon, Jose Luis, you can get there!
I like Castillo, he's an exciting fighter who has the distinction of being the only fighter to defeat Floyd Mayweather, although he was robbed by the judges!Comment

i remember people used to complain how big and strong Castillo was and for him to move up, not realizing that the guys at the higher weigh classes are even bigger, i would just like to see him get one more big money fight and retire, he deserves a big money fight and to retire a wealthy man, he gave a lot to this great sportComment

I think I am going to root for him and possibly buy ppv's he is on just because he is now the underdog and needs money.Comment
