140 seems to be a thing of the past given Castillo's present weight issues. Will he find some success at welterweight, or will he go down the path of Arturo Gatti and Ricky Hatton in fighters for whom one weight class makes all the difference.
Could Jose Luis Castillo survive as a welterweight?

You never know how Corrales power would have really effected the fight if Clottey didn't weight 170 lbs on fight night for a fight at 147 lbs. I never thought that fight should count on Corrales' record because of the weight difference. Weighing 170 lbs on fight night for a fight at 147 lbs is cheating no matter how its looked at.
I don't think Manny should be allowed to weigh 144 lbs on fight night for fights at 130 lbs. No fighter should be allowed to gain that much weight before the fight. **** like that makes weigh-ins useless.Comment

You guys know Castillo did fight at WW, right? He had three fights at WW right after losing to PBF the second time before he dropped back down to 135 to fight Lazcano on the DLH - Sturm undercard. That's why Lazcano was such a favorite, because nobody thought Castillo would be able to make the weight and, if he did, that he'd bee too slow and tired in the second half.Comment
