Was it Guadalupe Garcia from his second fight who some say stopped the fight too early or was it Pat Russell who deducted a point from him and gave him a standing 8 count.

I thought the second fight was stopped too quicky. Russell did a good job, even though the last low blow was very marginal. -

Listen...many other refs would have stopped the 3rd fight in that 12th round. Marquez had fallen right into the ropes and started getting hammered. Marquez is almost lucky the ref called a standing 8 count, not many refs do very often, because otherwise I have a feeling Vasquez would have started hammering him in that corner and forced an unquestionable stoppage. the ref for the 3rd fight did a perfectly fine job.
so Ill say the ref in the 2nd fight, it was stopped a little bit early. but who cares, we may not have had great of a 3rd fight if the ref hadnt stopped it there...or we may not have had a 3rd fight at all.
so everyone did a fine job as far as Im concerned. more credit to those two fighters too, geez man. theyre the best.Comment

there is a difference between a standing 8 count and a mandatory 8 count. uh ok, sure...
well then...he made the round a 10-8 one (if it wasnt already on some judges scorecards) and gave Marquez 10 seconds to recover.
same ****, unless you want to be technical about it, which I dont.Comment
