At no time in his career would Calzaghe ever have been an easy fight for Hopkins. Bernard has shown against Tarver and Winky that he because of the phenominal shape he keeps himself in between fights, he has still retained most of his abilities. Against Taylor, he dominated him in the last 3 or 4 rounds with ease, if he had put more effort into the first 8 or 9, he would have won with ease in the first fight.

I saw Hopkins lose his fights with Taylor because he thought he was too good to fight every round against Taylor. Remember Taylor I, when Hopkins seriously sat there and ****ed around taunting and posing for 8 rounds? That didn't have a lot to do with how much Hopkins has left IMO.

The Tarver fight showed that he still had the desire and ability to go 12 full rounds if he was motivated. The Wright bout confirmed it.
