    I think that is accurate.

Considering he beat someone as technically skilled as Kessler so one-sidedly, I think that shows that his skills are absolutely on another level from most other fighters.

I also think Hopkins's skills are on another level too though. What kind of a guy can seriously control the ring and the tempo so much that he wins decisions when averaging throwing less than 20 punches a round? Someone extremely special.

This fight is going to be amazing.

He will do things in there that will baffle Joe. Dont expect a high workrate from Joe in this one. He will more defensive minded then ever and will look the worse for ware losing a 12 ud or possible be stopped late.
Hopkins has only been in the ring with one fighter that was his size that was the caliber of Calzaghe, Roy Jones, and we all know how that one turned out.

this is why kessler remind me of pavlik so much.....they are good at what they do and that's it if you take away they power hand its over for them because they become one dimiemional(i know i spelled that wrong)
joe is strictly offense mayweather and roy is good at everything. they are not on the same level

I believe any great fighter from the past would have trouble vs. B-Hop whether it be Hagler, Leonard, or Robinson...you'd have to get B-Hop's respect with speed plus power...thats the key to beat Hopkins because if u can't hurt him ur done, plain and simple....and I honestly don't see Joe hurting Bernard with his punches, eventually I see B-Hop picking off Joe's punches....I picture Calzaghe throwing numerous shots while coming forward and in return Hopkins can counter with a dirty clinch or a counter..

Kessler is not one-dimensional... at all.

While he has a great right hand, that has quite a bit of power. His money punch really is the left jab. He throws so many more of them than the average fighter at 168, and he can win a fight with the jab alone.

Pavlik can jab his way to victory too.

They remind me of each other as well, but it is not because they are one-dimensional, by any means.

that what i call one-dimensional the jab is too set up the power shots. if they can't set up a power shot they jab all day

Lol, you call a fighter who wins with a backup plan when plan A doesn't work one-dimensional?

                  Hmmm...

Is anyone seriously saying a 43 year old that has lost 4 times already will beat Joe Calzaghe.

If so, I'll have a bet with them.
