If you are a huge, huge, HUGE underdog in a fight, you should keep your mouth shut and come to fight. Talking all this nonsense, even if it there are some good points made, does NOTHING but motivate the other guy.

I agree 100%. This is the classic case of "how can we sell this fight?" imo. Gomez's chances are next to null now. Gomez is terrible, he beat Gatti because Gatti couldn't fit well inside the limit 147 pounds and still he took some punishment! If you are an underdog on a 2007 Gatti fight you don't go on to beat Cotto.

I mean...who you want him to fight? People said "Oh he'll never beat Mosley". He beat Mosley and now its, "Ohhh he needs younger Comp."

this could be the fight that ends Gomez' career. He has shown a good chin and Cotto will punish him throughout this fight to late TKO or just battered Gomez but you cant blame Gomez for taking his shot. Course if I was Gomez I would have went after Cintron, a much easier chance at a title.
Because once again Cotto is better at everything. There's just no feasible way that Alfonso Gomez's boxing ability is better than Miguel Angel Cotto's.
