Vazquez power + Marquez chin = HUGE advantage to Vazquez.

EDIT: By the way, this thread was not about the more naturally talented fighter... it is about who is the better fighter.
I actually do think Marquez is the better fighter, better counterpuncher, better technique, better defense etc. but Vazquez just never stops coming forward, relentless, imposes his will and ultimately finds ways to win but I still find Marquez to be the better fighter.

Vazquez' chin gave him a big advantage over Marquez whose chin is not as good.

I still believe the more skilled fighter is marquez. The size/power is what sets these guys apart. And lol at the dude that said marquez has a weak chin lmao! wow!

marquez is the smaller guy and was taking some good shots and never went down until the final seconds. he has taken tremendous shots in this trilogy and never been "knocked out". Any given fighter can only take so many shots from a man bigger then you before they start taking its effect. Saying JMM has a weak chin is very very untrue.

You do actually know that it was Rafael Marquez who fought Israel Vazquez right? Not Juan Manuel Marquez? Just checking.

Anyways, Marquez has 5 losses after this weekend. 4 of them are by stoppage loss. He got hurt literally almost every time Vazquez connected with a punch. His chin is not what you would pick for your all-star team IMO.

Considering Vazquez was able to win rounds by connecting with significantly less punches because they were hurting punches, that means that he is either very powerful, or Marquez has a very bad chin, or more likely, somewhere in between those two.
