Best Timing In The Sport?

Although completely irrelevant to the current topic, considering this one is about current fighters only, but...
Julio Cesar Chavez gets a major shoutout. When he fought a Hector Camacho who was boxing and moving without the boxing part... in effect, moving around to avoid punishment and lose a wide decision, Chavez was still able to catch him flush so many times... That man's timing is insane.Comment

I'm guessing that you came around on Cotto being an excellent fighter at timing punches after the Mosley fight, am I correct?
I remember you told me that Shane Mosley's speed was going to be the downfall of Miguel Cotto, but I saw Cotto neutralize Shane's speed in the ring that night. Even though Shane had the longer arms, he was constantly getting outjabbed, and Cotto was throwing the right shot at the right time, which I attribute to timing.
That's the fight that showed me what Cotto's secret to success was. Was it the same way for you?Comment

It's all good.
I think God himself realized that he needed to restrain me before I went out to kill all them mother****ers.
When you take away my conditioning and ability to fight for more than one minute a round, you have a somewhat level playing field come next weekend.
It doesn't matter.
I just wanna kill...Comment

mijares!!
what about cristian mijares... he's da man in that matter based on his latest fights, he's always in punching position and punishes almost every mistake!! b hop looked bad against winky... and floyd is good but he doesn't throw enough punches to prove that point imo... he's been too defensive lately.
... calzaghe has great timing because he's reckless almost always but he gets away with besides his unnatural reflexes

I think it is pretty shallow to discount someone because they looked bad against Winky Wright.what about cristian mijares... he's da man in that matter based on his latest fights, he's always in punching position and punishes almost every mistake!! b hop looked bad against winky... and floyd is good but he doesn't throw enough punches to prove that point imo... he's been too defensive lately.

Make a list of how many people have looked good against Winky Wright. I bet you can't think of a single one.
It's the exact same reason I don't understand why everyone is writing Winky Wright off for the rest of his career because he looked bad against Hopkins... The list of how many people who have looked good against Hopkins is as long as the list of people who have looked good against Wright. They both stop at 0.
Anyways, you might be right about Mijares... in reality, very few people have seen him fight, which is probably why he has not gotten mentioned frequently on this topic. I myself haven't seen him, so... I guess I gave an incomplete analysis by picking Hopkins when I have not seen all the elite level fighters fight.Comment

Obviously...
Still though, the general feeling from those picking Mosley is that his speed was going to offset Cotto and end up getting the W for Mosley.
EDIT: That signature is ****ing tight!Comment
