He's too old to improve his technique, and he is not the hardest hitter in the world p4p. That would be Wladimir Klitschko

do you seriously think that dropping 2 stone of weight to make cruiserwight is good for haye's chin? or many of his performances? Have you ever tried doing physical exertions 2 stone under your natural weight, where you havn't eaten properly for weeks and your hydration is at very low levels? thought not

that kind of thing takes a toll on your body. forget comparing haye to holyfield, holyfields frame is smaller than haye's. Haye has never been knocked out at cruiser, if anything whenever he has been hurt it looks entirely plausible that its been caused via his weight draining
fact of the matter is that every world class fighter is probably fighting damn near two stone under what would be their normal walking around weight.

my walking around weight is about 215 pounds, when i was boxing i trained at 185 pounds and i wasnt dropping like a fly everytime someone touched my whiskers. if you are disciplined your body adjusts to the weight. if haye is putting on 30 pounds in the month after every fight and then trying to knock it off in the two that follow he probably isnt disciplined enough to be a top flight heavyweight anyhow.

as for getting behind haye, how long have you been posting here??? nobody gets behind a fighter around here because somebody tells them to. i like haye, and im excited for the fight, but he needs to beat the ever living **** out of anzo and then step up to the rahman type opponent that he swears he will take on... then people will get behind him... because of what he has done, not because you told them to do it.

well 90% of this board should be getting behind haye, because thats the percentage of people who seemed thoroughly disillusioned with wlad and the entire state of the heavyweight division

if haye was american we'd be talking him up as the second coming of christ, but he's british so he must be a hype job..... i remember before he fought mormeck people here were laughing at us brits who predicted a victory.

David haye is the linear champion in his division in his 21st pro fight. Granted the division is far from the best, however his achievement is still notable. He has fought once at hevayweight and destroyed a very solid campaigner in Bonin inside the first round

The guy has massive punching power, is exciting, ambitious and is attacking . The facts are that this board continually moans about the state of the heavyweight division yet very few are willing to embrace a potentially exciting prospect it seems

honestly, half the people in this thread who are disrespecting haye are most likely doing it for the sake of getting a rise out of you or any other brit poster who talks him up.

if haye shows up at heavyweight and starts bombing guys out he will get the respect he deserves. hell look at the praise that was being heaped on samuel peter before the klitschko fight... the big dumb african with no belt, no english and no personality was being hailed as the next tyson on account of having knocked out jeremy williams and taurus sykes. i dont see why haye would be denied anything that was given to peter if he puts forth more definitive results.

Cotto? Has it gotten better? He hasn't faced a big puncher at 147, but he was badly stunned by Judah.

            What are you talking about?

Mosley not a hard puncher at 147?

And i have Holyfields whole career and like Haye in the Mormeck fight he said i wasnt hurt by the shot my legs just gave out i need to move up.

Try youtube Holyfield at Cruzer his chin was far from great.

i agree, im not for one minute naive enought to believe haye will automatically blow everyone out the water. Im not bigging haye up on the basis he's british, but because he is british I have had greater exposure to the majority of his fights than guys on here and know what he's capable of.
