What the ****.. Kessler fans should shut the **** up. I hate it when some people like Batman being to abnormal... Whether his injured or not stop biting Kessler's **** and shut your mouth!. Kessler LOST and even If they fight up again Joe will beat him anytime of the day with an easy UD 12....
If not for injuries Kessler would've won.

I think he would have done much better if his sparring wasn't impotent.I'm convinced he would've won if not for injuring his hand and thereby missing 2 weeks of the most impotant sparring leading up to the fight.Comment

yawn, yawn, yawn......All fighters tend to give excuses after the fact. We could pick over many parts of every fight. Here's one for you, if the ref hadn't intervened after Joe hurt Mikkel with that body shot, joe would have stopped him... what if Joe's hands weren't ****ed and he was able to load up on Kesslers body at full (pre broken hand) power etc, etc, etc.....
Kessler will rule SMW in a few years, but would have lost that fight whatever, stop whining and look forward to Kessler's futureComment

Injury? He had some old scar tissue removed from his hand after the fight, it annoyed him for a while.. Its not like he was disabled..
Sparring or no sparring, Kessler fought. It didn't look like he was protecting his right hand in particular, and in the first 5 rounds Kesslers defensive style worked very well IMO. Calzaghe was amazing in turning a fight around that seemed lost pre-round 6. Kesslers corner made him continue in his defensive style, that is btw the only post-fight criticism/excuse we really heard in Denmark, when Kessler at last proved he could battle it out in round 12.
I know Kessler/Calzaghe II wont happen, but if it did, the so called injury wouldn't make the difference, and the previous fight wouldn’t look anything like the first. Calzaghe would know he couldn’t beat Kessler at the distance and not waste 5rounds trying, and Kessler would know to throw all tactics away and prepare for battle all the way.
It was pretty clear who was the winner in the first fight. This topic is silly.Last edited by Peder; 03-03-2008, 02:15 PM.Comment
