If Jones would've fought his mandatory, Vitali KlitschkO, Sanders or Lewis, I would've considered him a legitimate HW Champ. Fighting one of the least skilled fighters (Ruiz) to ever hold a HW belt (Jones hand picked Ruiz for this very reason) was nothing more than a publicity stunt.

Calzaghe is a real fighter and fought the best at and around his weight division (including a dominating win over the "former" HW Champion Jones) and didn't need to pull a publicity stunt like that. again another post i agree with jones was a great fighter but ppl can hit like lewis or marciano would have taken his head off with ease if tarver could but i think the tarver punch was a bit lucky but it was the end of the roy we new at the time the johnson punch was good tho but dont think roy had recovered from the tarver one lol
