If the knockdowns were not legitimate then you can also say Wlad should have been disqualified for the 10 minute holding he did. If Mills Lane would've been the referee, Wlad would've been disqualified like the same way he disqualified Akinwande against Lennox Lewis.

If an illegal shot is done intentionally, that is the only time a referee will deduct a point form a fighter. Like I said watch the Zab punch and see the difference.
