They had a behind the scenes mini documentary they got the fight of the year and round of the year last year, this fight will be a sellout like shaw said. So it they will get their day.

I totally agree with you about your "Corrales' wife" comment. I'd add that he didn't treat Corrales himself very well either. he only got protective and fatherly (I think purely for PR) AFTER he'd encouraged him to take on the hugely overweight Castillo and got brutally KO'd. Also he was sweet-sweet when he signed Corrales. It used to puzzle me why he was so careless with such a major attraction.

A fighter of Corrales stature and popularity should NOT have been fighting for comparative "peanuts" anyway.

          R.I.P Deigo Corrales.

If your going to cast a stone on Castillos win, then point out that Corrales did the same to Casamayor but differnce is he lost. Castillo won. And imo, in the second fight Corrales looked stronger then Castillo. Castillo made subtle adjustments for the rematch and set up the left hook perfectly. Both fighters have came in over weight.

boy! vazquez-marquez fight is totally different from delahoya-forbes. i don't see any wrong with oscar's announcement of his fight with forbes on may 3. boxing fans will surely buy vazquez-marquez tickets than delahoya-forbes.

I think that in the second fight, that when it was found that Castillo weighed in so much over weight and made no effort to take any off in the time allowed, they remade the deal. Corrales who'd been having pro***s making 135, HAD come in at 135, and since Shaw wanted to "save" the fight he "sweet-talked" Corrales. The new deal was that they BOTH should make 147 in a special weigh-in the next day. Weeell.......... Castillo had admitted to being "over 142"....but since he came into the ring at just under 160, I think that it must have been over "152". Anyway he was able to make the
147, all solid muscle, since he'd trained for weight and power. Corrales, also weighed in at 147 but his increase from 135 was only rehydration.

A VERY big qualitative difference. The poor guy was taken. Brave as a gladiator, too much so for his own good. I tried to contact him several times but was always deflected by stooges. he really needed a "wise head" to talk to, and he only had selfish parasites. My opinion only, I don't intend to livel anyone.
