for one of the few times I have to
Agree with Gary Shaw on this.
I didnt even know goldenboy was co promoting? this is truly sad because this trilogy is one of the greatest in current boxing history and oscar didnt even bother hyping it.
such a shame. -
Doesn't suprise me. It's a shame, Shaw was right the press conference should have been about Israel and Rafael.Comment

I hate Gary Shaw, especially after how he treated Coralles' wife after his death, but he has a point here. Oscar shouldn't have been so selfish and he should be worried about this fight, not his own. There is plenty of time after this fight to make the announcement.Comment

I really don't see how him announcing his fight takes anything away from the fight this weekend, every boxing fan knows this weekend will have a must watch fight.
I don't see people not buying tickets or watching a fight because he's going to fight in May at the same venue, if anything im sure the papers acctually announced the Delahoya fight and probably mentioned Marquez vs Vasquez is at the same venue this saturday.
It is stange though that Goldenboy is co-promoting this fight and nobody was aware of it, atleast we know the fighters will be making some good money with Vasquez getting close to a million and Marquez a little over half a million.Comment

what did he do to Coralles's wife, not sur i heard about it?Comment

True, but Oscar could have announced his fight any other time. He's already got the name recognition and doesn't need anymore. Marquez and Vasquez don't have that. It's gonna be a memorable trilogy and they both deserve that day to themselves.I really don't see how him announcing his fight takes anything away from the fight this weekend, every boxing fan knows this weekend will have a must watch fight.
