He's big over here, the Mayweather fight took care of that.

          What shortcomings?

Witter is the number 2 ranked LWW, holds the WBC world title, hasn't lost in 8 years and had a great performance against a top ranked opponent Vivian Harris in his last fight.

All that SHOULD be enough to get the big fights with boxers like Hatton, D-Hop, Malignaggi and Torres.
The only thing that works against Witter is his unorthodox switch-hitting style and the few dull performances he has had in the past but Witter's last fight was anything but boring.

I'm quite sure Witter is a better draw than for example Juan Lazcano but the risk is too great.

Thankfully boxers in other divisions like Klitschko, Cotto, Pavlik, Calzaghe, etc. don't think that they shouldn't fight the best opposition out there because the 'risk' of losing is too great.

LWW division has some talent but they are not fighting each other... hopefully the Hatton vs Malignaggi fight will happen soon.

Harris was Maussa's leftovers.. so I am not sure what your point is...

Sigh. Ah well, dust yourself off and try again, Jr. The good times are waiting just around the bend.

Very surprised HBO turned down the fight with Ngoudjo. That seems like a solid fight for Witter to me. Ngoudjo being a guy who could easily have wins over Malignaggi and Castillo on his record. This is an undercard to a BAD fight afterall.

his shortcomings that he can't earn a draw if he is the headlining fighter on a card. thats what i am saying. he on his own can not earn jack! i could give a **** less about him fighting hatton or not! this thread is about how hbo wont go for any of his fights, and that is because he has shortcomings in the earning area if he has to be the main draw in a fight! i said nothing of him, vs hatton! **** is old and beat to death!

The reason Witter isn't a draw is because he can't get fights. Not just the Hatton fight but Malignaggi, Torres, D-Hop, etc.

Hatton got a fight against the champion Kostya Tszyu and that made him popular, Malignaggi's fight against Cotto made him popular even though he lost.

The only big fight Witter has ever been in is the fight against Zab Judah that he took on a week's notice 8 years ago.

Since then Witter has been undefeated, become a world champion and beaten some solid opposition but he hasn't gotten any fights with the top 5 light welterweights even though he has called them out.

For example, Hagler and McCallum weren't draws until the big names DARED to fight them and put their world titles on the line.

The reason he cant get Fights is becasue he isn't a draw.. we could go in circles all night on this one eh??

I will trust the people in the TV business... Witter isn't a draw.. and that is why no one will fight him..
