i actually don't have much of a problem with people giving bad k to guys criticizing wladimir. the reason why is that there so many goddamn people making a big deal out of the fact that the fight was fairly boring.
not only that, but we have guys, or most likely teenagers, who joined last month or last week making dozens of threads and dozens of posts that all say the same damn thing.

and where is all the criticism where it is mostly due - to sultan ibragimov. after all, he came in fightng defensive as usual, crouching to avoid even any contact from klitschko's right. and as someone said earlier, sulty knew he was down going into the later rounds and didn't even make much of an effort to try to ko WK.

wk was winning with ease, the pressure, therefore was on sulty. and i am not saying that wladimir shouldn't have went for the ko, or that the fight was exciting. i am saying step off the bashing bandwagon unless you think you can step up the championship level and beat sulty.

klitschko was fighting scared. thats the point made in woods article.
hope peter gets by maskaev and gets another shot at klit. then we'll see if klitscko's a head case or not.

I guess this should make it okay for the Wlad fans to admit that was a bad performance when he fought Sultan. Before, it was a smart fight, he did everything he had to, he unified the titles. i wonder what theyll say now if even Wlad was disappointed in himself.

he did do everything he had to do.

and what klitschko fans are not at least a little disappointed that he didn't get a knockout when he should have.

both wlad and manny said sulty is a tricky fighter and made it difficult to land that straight right.

for those of you that do not or have not trained in a fighting art, do you guys realize how hard it is to land something that is expected? i wager that you guys have no clue.

despite this, klitschko still was able to ko sulty - he just didn't. and many of you have to get over it! period. get a life and do something besides bitching about something you neither have the balls or skills to do or achieve.

and fighting scared? where did this crap come from? every time he doesn't pursue a ko he is fighting scared? how does a scared fighter control the ring and project ring generalship enough to where he could win a round simply based on it?

i wish we could screen emo teenagers and people who act like them from certain forums. we would have much more intellectual discussions.

steelhead, for example, has said the same basic thing on every klitschko related thread. enough, we get it. you hate the guy and have nothing better to do with your time than write hate-filled posts and whine about how you think the heavyweight division sucks.

perhaps you need to reread the article. please quote where manny says wlad was a scared fighter.

you are a classic example of someone who tries to twist **** around. the most you can quote is that michael woods can theorize that he thinks sanders still haunts wladimir. here, i will quote it for you:

" But I can theorize that Wlad saw another shorter, Caucasian lefty in front of him on Saturday and had a series of brown acid flashbacks. If that were the case, that would make Wlad’s lack of activity on Saturday a bit easier to swallow, wouldn’t it?"

and on to manny, i will quote this for you as well:

"One thing Steward insisted was not the case—that the ghost of Corrie Sanders, the lead fisted South African who knocked highly touted and 40-1 Wlad silly in the second round of their 2003 faceoff, was not present in the ring at MSG. “Not at all,” he said. “That was never a factor.”

here you go. now people can see where you twist your bull**** from without having to go back and click on the link.

now, again, where does manny say or even imply that he agrees with michaels "theory?" at at most, woods' theory is just that. he was trying to dig for something which didn't exist.

what more do you have to say?

Ok outside of my joke threads i think wlad is a good boxer. I think that his performance was disappointing and wlad would admit that himself. There is nothing wrong imo of saying that wlad didn’t perform that great. Ok sultan is partly to blame as he was trying to counter wlad all night and that was never gonna work part of the blame for the poor fight has to also be laid on wlad he was un willing to open up at times even when he had a chance and never sustained any attack its 50 50.
As for wlad being scared, i wouldn’t say he was scared but he did look a bit nervous at times and has admitted he didn’t want to open up in case he got hit, there is nothing wrong in that but it didn’t make the fight exciting.

Alot of boxers wouldn't concede that they weren't impressive after such a win. Kudos to Klitschko for listening to the fans and his trainer...

maybe you should read the article, you sound like a real dumbass.

                      quote from the article:

"One thing Steward insisted was not the case—that the ghost of Corrie Sanders...."

hmmmmm. sounds like you missed that part, or maybe you just read what you wanted to read.

as for wood, you say he "thought" he was scared

sorry to inform you but "thinking" and "knowing" are hardly the same.

so i ask you, are you blind? or are you in denial?
