Hopkins is to Barrera...as Calzaghe is to Hamed...

I was bored and decided to watch the Barrera/Hamed fight again since its live airing..but anyways I see this happening all over again come April 19...stylistically in a way they both match...marco and the prince fought around April too..with Hamed being an undefeated favorite similar to Joe. I see history repeating itself. I remember saying to myself prior to barrera/hamed, "Hamed hasn't fought anyone close to Barrera..I just don't see him winning unless it was a flush power shot, but barrera has too much skills to get caught.." and now I'm saying the same thing over again.. Joe hasn't fought anyone close to Bernard, I can't see him winning unless hes swarms him with activity in each round....but Hopkins is too smart for that...

put ur money on B-Hop...Joe is great and all but Hopkins destroys styles which is y most of his fights are boring, stylistically its not appealing..but very very EFFECTIVE....

and may sum1 up this if I'm wrong (doubt it) on April 20th ...I'll be getting blazed that day to care anyways lol...

Valid point, Hopkins' game is breaking apart somebody's style, BUT, this could also be the time where Hopkins' style doesn't work, it just depends on how Joe approaches the fight. Anything's possible, thats why I love this fight so much.

If Cal gets past ole man Hops.. he's in an even bigger heap of trouble. He might have to fight Pavlik. With Pavlik's chin and heart.. Cal will be out in 3.. Lifestyle..Regular!

apart from that they could'nt be anyore different maybe the cricumstances might have simularities

              I disagree.

              Calzaghe isn't one dimensional
              Calzaghe has beaten better boxers
Calzaghe is a boxer, Hamed was a puncher

Barrera was in his prime, Hopkins is NOT

I think this may play out a lot like Hatton-Mayweather, with Hopkins counterpunching on the inside and beating Calzaghe up pretty good in a close fight before winning a UD

                    Poor comparison, IMO.
Hamed's style is nothing like Joe's.
