    Pavlik- Wright...why not Mr. Arum?

Just read a very interesting article on another boxing site. Looks like Mr. Arum don't want Pavlik to fight Winky! He is basically in the way and at this point, he is refusing that fight. It kills me because Pavlik said out his mouth that he would love to fight Winky, and Winky said that he would give Pavlik the Lion's share of the money for the fight (Arum says Winky will outprice himself). Therefore, if the two fighters both want to fight each other, why is Arum holding this up????

This is one thing that bothers me about boxing, if you are my promoter and I want to fight an elite guy, and he wants to fight me, SHUT UP WITH EXCUSES AND MAKE THE FIGHT HAPPEN!

    How you feel?

He will absolutely fight Winky. But he's got somethign in the works with Abraham. He'll have to fight Winky some time after Abraham. He's not just gonna take on Miranda-Taylor-Taylor-Winky-Abraham.. That would leave any man burnt out and would not give him a fair chance at executing as well as he is capable.

what do you mean fair chance? He is the champ of the world, that is his job. I truly believe that Bob wants to put him in there with limited competiton for now. Because he was about to fight Duddy? I mean come on, who is he? Winky is clearly wanting the fight and Pav too.....Arum needs to be a REAL promoter and stop trying to put Pav in there with bums and let him fight Winky.

What bum? He's about to go fight Abraham.. he just fought taylor twice? and he plans on fighting 3 times this year. Winky's in no position to dictate anything at this stage. Pavlik will give him his shot but he'll do it after Abraham. It has nothing to do with Arum being greedy, he's simply getting ready for a different big fight. Also, incase your not aware Abraham is very arguably a more dangerous fight than Winky.

When I said bums, I was not being specific. I know who Abraham is. I know very well. But is he better than Winky Wright? I think not. Also, Winky isn't trying to dictate. He called him out, and Pavlik answered him, saying that he would LOVE that fight. My thing is this, if they both are in "agreement" to fight each other, why is Arum holding it up? Pavlik-Wright is the biggest possible fight at Middleweight, no?

Winky would NEVER let Pavlik get the lions share of the money.

But Wright would get beat up anyway and im a HUGE Winky WRight fan.

His jab isn't going to hold off a naturally bigger opponent like Pavlik, and Wright may be close to the point where hanging them up might be a good idea..

Abraham is arleady set to fight on the undercard of Pavliks next bout. They are deep into talks.. You don't just throw that out the window cause Winky expresses some interest in him! Winky has been calling out everyone in boxing. He has openly just requested a payday. It definitely doesn't merit completely turning a scheduelle on it's head especially when a bout with a Very strong Abraham is already set. That just wouldn't be good business after already courting him.

What will look better on his resume, Winky Wright (fought many top fighters, SMM, Tito, Taylor, Hopkins) or Abraham (who has he fought, not being sarcastic?) ? You be the judge..
