Hatton sucks. He should have fought Torres.

Hatton is never going to fight Witter.

Witter would tax that ass and fax him back to Manchester.

I have made clear my opinion of Hatton in the past, I feel he is clearly ducking Witter and have grown tired of the style he has employed in his latest bouts, but I don't see what the problem is with him taking the Lazcano fight. He just got demolished at 147 and is perfectly entiltled to a easier fight in his comeback. It is a much better fight than Hlatswayo or Rees. It figures to be a mildily entertaining fight as well. After this fight though he has to fight Witter.

he's definitely going to fight witter.. Probably as one of his last 2 fights. You don't follow up a failed welterweight campaign against the #1 fighter in the world by taking another dangerous bout. He should give his manchester faithful a fan at home and he also has a right to fight cash in at the garden against a beltholder who he might be even with on odds. After that i am 100 percent confident he will take witter in one of his next 2 bouts. This is how it will play out IMO and he has every right to do it this way.

I think these are good plans. Hatton will get his confidence back in beating Lazcano easily, and Malignaggi should get into a decent fight with N'Dou that should spark interest for a fight in the fall, in New York, where Paulie has a decent sized following. This will open up a date for early 2009 for Hatton vs Witter.

its fair enough to take a tune up, then malignaggi will be a big fight for the light welter division which isnt saying much to be fair. but the fight will never happen with witter. i am not that bothered because witter is a muppet but why would hatton fight witter when after paulie he has the chance to fight guys like diaz, pac man and katsidis, who have all shown an interest and bring alot more to the table?

also, why is witter more of a contender than malignaggi anyone? he has fought little better than paulie or even rees if he wins his next fight...

Paulie-Hatton would be interesting. Paulie sucks if you pressure him relentlessly. That fight with Ngoujdo was real close. Paulie has to get better on the inside. We all know what Hatton does. He has to make Paulie miss. I think Hatton would win in a close fight. The same could be for Paulie though.

                    Ricky deserves this exhibition fight.

I think he will fight witter, but witter has to take the decision out of his hands and win all the other belts. Simple really

If Hatton-Paulie is on, Witter needs to look at facing Rees later on the year setting up a showdown with Hatton. Witter would have no problems with Rees, in my opinion he is the best Light Welter out there.

Hatton should have no excuses, unless he takes another big payday (De La Hoya/PBF) and decides to retire, but he can't run from this fight because there is nothing else out there.
