Ricky Hatton has planned out his first two fights of 2008. According to the Manchester Evening News, the first will come against Juan Lazcano at the City of Manchester Stadium on May 24. The second will come against IBF junior welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi, tentative for Autumn at New York's Madison Square Garden. [details]

I only like it if Paulie agrees to be the co-feature that way it provides some sort of buildup to a potential match up between the 2 at the historic Madison Square Garden. I look forward to Ricky Vs Paulie.. -

Lazcano, Malignaggi, then retire. Screw Witter. Given the style of fighting that Hatton had to use because of his extremely short arms, he has taken a lot of punishment in his career. Add to that his terribly unhealthy lifestyle of alcohol and obesity inbetween fights and I think it's already time for him to call it quits. He has nothin else to prove.Comment
