sin and the others, I seriously think you guys make way too big of a deal over this. I bet anything that Floyd could give a crap about being considered the #1 WW in the world. I bet he would say that Cotto or anyone else can have it if they want. He always says that this guy or that guy may be the #1 guy in there division but Im the #1 guy P4P. Thats what Floyd cares about.

Its like people keep making a big deal about giving Cotto the title or Floyd getting stripped. Why would that matter to Floyd? You think he would care at all if he got stripped of his title right now? When your at his level, it doesnt matter anymore. Like you said, the fighter makes the title. Basically Im saying that he knows that he can get any fight he wants any time he wants. They could strip him right now of everything but if he wanted to come back and fight Cotto in his very next fight for Cotto's title then wouldnt it happened? Ofcourse it would. Floyd doesnt care about having the #1 WW ranking. He cares moreso about the P4P ranking and he's been on top so long now that I dont even think he cares about that too much anymore because he knows that cats will always hate him and make up some reason for why he shouldnt be #1 anyway.

He just knows that he's in the positon to make his own way no matter what the boxing people say or do, so they could strip him right now and give everything to Cotto but he knows that the street people are still going to consider him the best until he loses and he knows that he can still come right back and get a title fight in his next match even if he has no title at all

with all that being said, I still think people make way too big of a deal about things and need to stop being so impatient. This is the way of the game. As long as Cotto wins these 2 fights and Floyd beats Oscar then this fight will definatly happened so stop tripping people. Anyone can see that Floyd is not ready to walk away just yet and we all know that he's not taking any more short money fights so all he really has left is Cotto after the Oscar fight and he knows that fight will be way bigger then it is now by then.

That fight is a ton bigger after Cotto beats a guy from the Contender, beats a media hyped up stud in Margarito or Cintron, and after Floyd beats Oscar in another big fight and after he keeps doing all of this out of the ring stuff in the WWE and so on. After all of that the fight would be super big and they will market it like crazy. Thats when you have that fight. Not now. I bet that they will make the fight by late 08 and it will happened in early 09

The lineage goes somethin' like this:

Mosley > Forrest > Mayorga > Spinks > Judah > Baldomir > Mayweather

Unless Floyd retires (like Lennox Lewis did) and the lineage breaks, he is the real champion OR if Cotto actually defeats him sometimes in the future.

Until then, Cotto can keep collecting belts that Baldomir vacated after he defeated Judah all he wants. He is not THE CHAMP.......just A CHAMP among many others.

Floyd and Cotto are both booked ,,, they will fight if both remain unbeaten , whats the point of crying about it now it will happen and Floyd will win a UD and then you will cry about some other dude , the haters are a broken record .
