Winky deserves a shot at Pavlik, but so does Abraham. I would rather see a unification fight between Pavlik-Abraham, and I honestly think at this point, Abraham would be the bigger challange.

Last night elite pound for pounder Winky Wright made it clear to **********.com that there's nothing he wants more than a fight with undefeated, undisputed middleweight champion Kelly "The Ghost" Pavlik. "All they have to do is want to make a fight and we'll give the fans what they want to see. There isn't a better middleweight fight than me and Kelly right now and I'm ready to give him his first loss," said Wright. John Duddy, who appeared to be the frontrunner to face Pavlik next, suffered sever lacerations to his face last Saturday night, thus making Pavlik opponentless for his June HBO date. Full interview with Wright to follow tomorrow. Remember where you heard it first! (3:28 PM EST)

This is the best thing that could've happened.

      Let discussion begin!
      Hmmm
I think this fight will be good, Winky wants to prove himself after the loss to Bernard & Kelly always comes to fight. Should be good but I cant see Winky hurting Kelly so I say either Kelly eventually gets through and KOs Winky or Winky is a better boxer than Taylor so he can definately win on points. Hope this fight gets made.

I think this would be a good fight, I just hope that Winky can make 160 and not try to drag Pavlik up in weight again. Plus it would force Winky to get in better shape than he was in the Hopkins fight, where he seemed bloated.

u forget 170 was never for Winky to begin with, at 160 he brings out the best out of everyone there

The fight might finish up been a replay of the Trinidad-Wright fihgt. First question, what would be the size of the gloves ??? W@inky wins by UD if he uses one of those bigass gloves.

He's lost 1 fight in like his last 12. Other than the draw he's been winning. Maybe because of how he looked last fight against Hopkins. But I think he should get a shot.

I didn't forget that, I know that, but just look at Winky's style, he absorbs punishment with his brick wall defense. IMO that kind of style is perfect for Pavlik's style, which is designed to charge and destroy defensive fighters.

No offense to Winky or his fans because I do in fact think he is still a good boxer, but what has he done as of late to justify calling out Pavlik? He hasn’t won a fight since December of ’06.
