Winky Wright calls out Pavlik!!!

He has fougth his last few frights in a more exciting fashion though...

Taylor, Quartey and even Hopkins, he stood there and traded more than usual. He still keeps his guard up though.

not one of those guys has the fire power pavlik does.

taylor was only knocking out jr middleweights.

hopkins picks people apart, he has some fire power but not like pavliks.

and quartey doesn't have the same power he once had when he was at welterweight. fighting at 160 his power is a fraction of what it used to be.

winky knows the game, he knows the stats, he knew that he could afford to trade.

i'm not here trying to hype up pavliks power, but it is obvious that he can crack hard, and winky i think, since he's a defensive fighter would play it that way.

Well roy only went to the ropes maybe 4 or 5 times for a few seconds during the trinidad fight.. being that trinidad was the smaller guy... i think roy would treat winky just the same as tito... and just circle him instead of going back on the ropes...

Roy let Trinidad work on him in the ropes, Trinidad couldn't do anything serious but he stole a few rounds early on. Roy just didn't give any respect to Trinidad's power, he can take body punches like no one else.

I don't see Winky beating Pavlik either but it's a great fight because it's a test. Pavlik has never been in there with someone as good a boxer as Winky Wright.

Taylor used the high guard similar to Winky Wright's to block many of Pavlik's punches, Pavlik would have to come to this fight with some adjustments, otherwise Winky could steal it.

Remember he had a draw with Taylor, he was close to becoming middleweight champ. He deserves a fight with Pavlik more than anyone.

I hope it's Wright, Sturm, or Abraham as Pavlik's next opponent.

Anyways, people were hyping up Taylor's power to be just as good as people are making Pavlik's power out to be now.

But like I said, it isn't traditional trading. He will stand there with his hands up, like he always does, but he is going to be more aggressive in countering more often IMO if he fights Pavlik.

i hope winky is more aggressive or at least fights like he did his last few fights, but i think that he's going to play it conservative and be more defensive and calculated like he has been the majority of his career.

i'm not trashing winky or anyone, i'm just saying that i think that the fight is 80% more likely to be boring than exciting.

Does it really matter who Winky calls out? His monetary demands are unrealistic and nobody on this planet will meet them.
