Not that I'm suggesting that Danny WILL KO James Toney, but I always wonder about the logic of people that suggest it's not possible.

Firstly, the strength of Toney's chin is helped by technique... if the guy doesn't roll with a shot then it's gonna hurt more.

But more importantly, he's spent over 88% of his career OUTSIDE the heavyweight division. He's getting hit harder than he's ever been hit before. What makes people think because he could take shots at lower weights he can take them now?

Just watch the guy after the second Peter fight and listen to his voice. He's not a natural heavyweight.

This might be more entertaining if it was a competitive eating competition rather than a boxing event...

Even if James got himself into shape, it's just too late. His stay at Heavy has been a disappointing one. So much wasted talent.

I agree. Toney looked so shot in his last fight against Batchelder, almost lost it!! Now hes inactive for a year and even older, Williams will beat him up. I would be happy if Toney comes in shape and do better as in his last fight but it would be a big suprise.
In 2003 when Toney has beaten Holyfield i thought this guy could beat any heavyweight. He was so damn fast and skilled. But today he even shotter than Holyfield and Holyfield would own him today.

Hahaha, another eliminator for the WBC? Peter/Maskaev, Vitali Klitschko, Gomez/Virchis, and now Toney/Williams? This is getting pathetic.

I think Winky Wright and Tarver would disagree with you about that. Past prime, sure, but a top 5 p4p and #1 LHW in the world, washed up? I don't think so.

Agreed. I actually want Toney to win this fight because I want him to have a good end to his career, he was a great fighter though an inconsistent one.
Danny Williams is a good guy too and has been inconsistent.

You can never really predict these kinds of fights with two unpredictable fighters but Toney looked so old, slow and shot in his last fights and now that he doesn't have his steroids and is a YEAR older, I can only imagine the condition he is in.

It's a funny thing how Holyfield seems to 'outlive' all of his opponents.
He was supposed to be shot against Bowe, he was supposed to be shot against Tyson, he was supposed to be shot against Lewis, he was supposed to be shot against Byrd, he was supposed to be shot against Toney etc.

And he is still there, while the others are not. Funny... and kind of sad.
