      he couldnt take a heavyweight punch, that much is for sure. i agree he was never anything special as a heavy, but he was the champ and for kessler to capture an alphabet title, regardless of who he beats in the process, would be quite an accomplishment. of course this is ridiculous speculation as kessler will never move above light heavyweight as long as hes fighting at the world champ level.

        I think the highest weight Kessler can be effective at is about 185 pounds.

              I agree. take someone like David Haye, MUCH bigger than Kessler, but still about the smallest you could get for an effective heavyweight.

              Kessler is too small IMO.

                He could bulk of to HW but he would not be able to beat good heavyweights.

                  I wouldn't fancy his chances against any kind of body puncher at HW.

                  Calzaghe all but put him away with that shot in the eighth(?). And Zag isn't hitting anywhere near as hard as he was when he fought the likes of Eubank.
