Kelly Pavlik vs. John Duddy is in Jeopardy

According to promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank, a potential battle between WBC/WBO middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik (33-0, 29KOs) and "Irish" John Duddy (24-0, 17KOs) is possibly on the verge of being scrapped. [details]

A Pavlik vs Lee fight could happen sooner than most of us thought.

Yes, he will, Brian Vera, March 21st. Manny Steward said he was negotiating with Arum to fight the winner of Duddy vs Pavlik so the fight could be pushed up and he said he wants Lee to fight 7 or 8 times this year so June or July shouldn't be a problem.

That is literally the exact same thought/conditions as to which I saw Duddy fight.

I love how everyone thinks that neither Winky nor Bernard are a threat to anyone...

If anyone hasn't noticed, their style takes almost no energy, and they always get their opponent to fight at their pace.

They are going to be trouble for anyone IMO. No one is going to blow them out of the water I don't think, because they have the two styles that are the least reliant on their athleticism and age, which is why they are still around and still going strong.

wright and hopkins are not still going strong, hopkins has founght no one of note in the last few years and will get completely outclassed by calzaghe, and wrights style takes no energy cos he has none, pavlik would own him but it would not be a good fight, may as well take the trinidad pay day at 168 now
