Had Mike Tyson never went to Prison in 1992?

After the loss to Buster Douglas in 1990, Mike was re-focused and had 2 impressive wins over a tough Razor Ruddock. He was supposed to fight Evander in 1992,but ended up going to prison.

I thought those 4 years he lost from 1991 to 1995 is what really diminished a lot of his skills. Especially his ability to make you miss and counter off your mistake and his conditioning was never the same.

What if Mike never went to prison and went ahead and fought Evander in 1992 and Rid**** Bowe and Lennoz Lewis. But in the mid 1990's

He'd beat Evander and Rid****. Not so sure that he would fight Lewis.
Even if he did, not sure he would beat Lewis...

Had he not gone to prison, he might have knocked Holyfield and Bowe out but Lewis would have been a tougher match. Personally, I think he started loosing it after Rooney and Jacobs were gone.

Prime Mike Tyson would have knocked out 2002 Mike Tyson in one round

So it's hard to say what would have happen had Lennox fought Mike when he was still young and active.

If you think Lennox Dominated that 2002 version of Tyson. Prime Mike would have destroyed 2002 Tyson

Also, look at how well guys like Mercer and Tua did against Lewis. they weren't completely dominated, they still got some good shots in. Tyson was ten times as good as those fighters.

Mike in 1991 after being refocused would have probably beaten Holy and Bowe, unless it was a focused Bowe who would be one hell of a tough fight. Lennox, hmmmmmm not so sure. Lennox might be too much for any version of Mike.

When they had signed to fight before Mike went on trial I had picked Holyfield. Nothing that happened after that changed my mind. Lewis was better than Tyson, but I'm not as certain that the 92 version of Lewis was seasoned enough to beat him yet.

                    Yeah, there's plenty of if's and butt's.

But Lewis had mastered the one punch that could neutralize Tyson- even back in the day; the uppercut.

Mercer and Tua is vastly different in the way they approach taller fighters.
Tyson ducks under and comes up with hooks and uppercuts, in perfect position to be countered by uppercuts.

Trust me, Tyson was open for uppercuts. Just like Frazier and every other fighter that goes down low with their head.

And Lewis, a master of this punch, was strong enough to push Tyson off him even if he got close.

Boxing is more advanced than just punching hard and fast.
