I been following boxing for almost my whole life...and im thinking when will there b another black heavyweight champ(and i mean the real one..WBC... not the other alphabets) At first i though James Toney was gonna do it but he eat his life and career away. Then i thought that there was gonna b Calvin Brock but he failed.....Last there was Rahman who had the belt but forgot how to fight.. So all im asking will there b another one and n how long.

I was hoping in this day, black, hispanic, white- just give us a dominant heavyweight champion as the mythical strongest man in the world. -
Just give me a dominant champion. That will make me happy. Although Wlad DOES seem to be tha guy he needs a good rival though. That would be interesting.Comment

Samuel Peter for cripes sake! Or doesn't he count because he's not real black, he's one of those fake blacks who is from Africa where I've never heard of?Comment

Sam Peter could be that rival for Wlad IMO.
He was unpolished in the first fight and still gave a good fight but his weakness could've been exposed against Jameel McCline, the uppercuts.
I think Peter will KO Maskaev.
If he fights and beats Vitali, even better. That would hype the fight up.Comment

I hate to break it to you, but there's nothing "real" about the WBC. It's no better than the other organizations.
Peter could win the WBC, but Wlad will still be champ. Peter has to avenge his loss to Wlad to become champ.
The other HWs at the moment are spread throughout the globe. A few token Americans rotate at the bottom of most top ten lists, but really I don't think they belong there.
The blacks on any Top 20 list, not that it should matter, are Gomex, Solis, and Peter. Maybe include Thompson. Peter is clearly the best of that bunch.
Then there's cruiserweight David Haye. But there are other, more promising HWs from the eastern bloc who get less hype.Comment
