Erik Morales for me. The guy carried a pace that was unequaled by all the others and he won time and time again. He may not be the best fighter that ever lived or have come out of Mexico, but he is definitely my favorite. The guy always delivered with great shows. All his fights were exciting, action packed, and something to behold.

The best prime fighter of the Fab 4 imo.

This is about greater fighters that inspired greater followings!

To answer your question though Dwiens (which, by the way, is one of the best I've seen in a long while) it is close to impossible to say who was the best. As many people have already said it seemed that Barrera got the best of the true prime Morales whereas a prime Morales would beat Pac pretty easily as would Marquez. I would say Pacquiao is the last as his style would be beaten by all of them except maybe Barrera who may beat Morales. It's simply one of those eras which are too good. But, we must remember that the only fight in which Pacquiao fought a prime one of these guys was against Barrera who just looked ****e (despite what Pac fans will say, he was not himself that night...far from it) and Marquez never fought either of the other guys in their true primes.

Too hard to pick, but one of the best questions seen here in a long time!!!

To make it easier on myself I'm just going to say Morales, Barrera and Marquez = 1, Pacquiao = 2. I don't give a flying .... what the Pac fans say, but he came after these guys had had the majority of their whole careers and did catch them at their worst weights and at the end of their careers.

BTW: I can't vote in the poll. You can't have guys equal so....?

awwww ididnt mean to piss in your cheerios sweetheart

Well, this question isn't about who beat who, it's about who was the best in their PRIME. So this would obviously drop to 2 fighters. Marco and Morales. Now who had the better competition in their primes? I'd have to say without a doubt Morales did. Marco had a lot of wins, yes, but how many notable wins until he got older and out of his prime?

Morales, he could fight, he could brawl, he could box. Definitely an ATG and the best of these four particular fighters.

Can you believe that ****head from ESPN who gave him a C+ career and compared him to Gatti and Ward because he lost his biggest trilogies?

                  Absurd.

Morales is a great fighter, and even though im a Pacquiao fan I think Morales was the best out of the four in their respective primes.

I think he beat Barrera twice but only got the decision once. Pacquiao is my second choice because Pacquiao dominated a Prime Barrera, and got jobbed against a Prime JMM.

He beats Morales twice whether prime or not doesn't matter because Morales was a great fighter during that stage as well.

Like skills said Morales could do everything...ATG IMO.

It really did seem like Pacquiao I was Morales's last hurrah.

After that he got embarrassed by underachieving Zahir Raheem.

Then he got TKO'd by exhaustion.

Then he got TKO'd by starvation.

Then he made a very close fight against David Diaz.

Before Raheem, he had never done anything but win fights impressively, and lose two extremely close fights.
