I tried to play devil's advocat and figure out a fighter in the game TODAY that is a better short-distance puncher but I failed miserably. The only names that popped in my head were Hatton, Mayweather, Mormeck and Juan Diaz. I think they pale in comparison considering accuracy, speed, power and consistency.

Cotto doesnt really have 1 punch KO power. He did in the Pinto fight tho lol. Everytime he touched Pinto he rocked him or dropped him or both. Cotto wears people down with jabs, straight rights, uppercuts, body shots. He does it all. He doesnt really come inside and work the way Tyson did. I dont really see what Steward is saying.
Hes saying short distance. James Toney and Duran were great short-distance punchers. They didn't have Tyson's power. Hey Mragarito and Juan Diaz are very good shor-distance punchers too.
