It looks like Arum will keep serving this crap until fans are smart enough to stop buying it. This looks like a step down from the last two JCC Jr opponents. -
Dude, he's 22 years old and has had 34 fight's already.....lol.
Give the kid a break.....Cotto is 27 soon to be 28 and only has 31 fights under his belt.
They are being carefull with him and I don't see why people have such a problem with it. It's like some people that discredit his father because he fought alot of avg fighters. Yea, but he beat all the great one's too.
As long as Jr. keeps winning, continues to mature and they set him up at the right time with top opposition then I have no problem with it. Mexican boxer's have a tradition of keeping busy, it's a good strategy because you fighter is always sharp.
Hard work in and out of the gym baby, that's the Mexican wayComment

You may have misunderstood me. I don't have a problem with the opponent, just Arum putting this on a PPV. If people buy this and feel ripped off, the well may be dry when Arum finally does match him with a more significant challenge. I have no problem with them bringing the kid along slowly. He looked pretty green against Celaya.Dude, he's 22 years old and has had 34 fight's already.....lol.

Arum went with the PPV route because he couldnt get JCC, Jr. a date on either HBO or Showtime and now the kid is developing a fan base. You may have misunderstood me. Now, we're in trouble ..... LOL
The other thing with bringing in Orlando is I'm sure there will be some kinda deal where Top Rank gets paid by Italian TV to air it over there as well.
It makes sense business-wise to put this on PPV.
Again, The goal for Top Rank is like 70,000 buys for these shows and they have exceeded them with the first two.

True it's fine that he's still being matched up against sub par fighters, but the PPV thing is too much. You may have misunderstood me. And I can't argue with any businessman making money. It's just that if the fight is a blowout, it will sour the people that bought it when something worth buying comes around. Seems kind of shortsighted to me. We all know this kind of fight doesn't belong on HBO or Showtime, but why not Telefutura, ESPN, or Versus?Comment
