Mayweather doesn't have to fight Cotto if he doesn't want to. That's not why PBF has many fans, he has may fans because we like him, he is indeed the best and such a smart character. Cotto is a young good champion and imo it would be a unecessary risk for Mayweather to take a young Cotto when he's already 31, the age where most welterweights get out of their primes. Remember Mayweather's natural weight is/was 130, not 147, but he did get titles all the way to 154. Isn't that a wow? Cotto has to do much more to be in that level besides punching nuts. Oh and btw i do think Mayweather would get another win vs Cotto but his business side will probably keep him from trying that. WWE and Oscar for 40-0 then retire. In a couple years we will know the truth about Cotto. I think Mayweather already know the Cotto story but want no part of it.

It's funny how when asked if he will fight Cotto or Williams (IMO) back after the Hatton fight he said hed rather take a 2 year break from the sport but ask him if he would fight a 36 year old Oscar which he already beat he doesnt have to think about it twice. I just have one comment/question: Since when do we boxing fans make special cases for our so-called p4p boxers? People who say that Mayweather has nothing left to prove have tunnel vision and don’t see the big picture just like Floyd. Our champions in boxing are considered the best of the best because they beat the best. That's why we hold Ali, Robinson, etc etc to such high regards because they set the standards and for anyone to accept anything less while in their Prime (ala Mayweather) it's ridiculous. No there is nothing wrong with making money! But to be the self proclaimed GOAT you have to not only talk the talk but walk the walk. Guys I’m not hating on what Mayweather did at 130lbs. & 135lbs. But what he has done at 140lbs and 147lbs does not expedite his retirement by any mean and we hand him over the crown for the GOAT status. Sorry but it’s gonna take a hell of a lot more names on that resume to even put him in the top 20 all time. BTW….Sharmba Mitchell, Arturo Gatti, Henry Bruseles, Baldomir are C fighters at best so how does that make for a GOAT legacy compared to all the other champs of the past. This is not a strong enough argument for Floyd to make such statements as the Greatest of all Time. We fans know what’s what and who’s who. I just say as fans we need to demand this fight by pressuring and promoting it so nobody can duck anybody. That's cool man. The thing is the Words "DANGEROUS FIGHTER" follows the name Shane Mosely....even at 36. And every one, even some die Hard Cotto fans said he won't get past Mosely. An impressive win (I was there!).

Mayweather, fighting Oscar De La Hoya "NOW"....that left Hook is rusty. Still has pop in his punches, but be for real, when was the last time Oscar handed down a beat down other than Mayorga?? Vargas was many moons ago.
